Liverpool born Soprano, Jennifer Lee , has performed in Concerts, Recitals and Opera productions across the UK and Europe. Currently under the tutelage of Susan Waters, Jennifer performs a diverse repertoire including; Oratorios, Operas, Song Cycles and Choral/Chorus in variation of musical styles. Jennifer has recently been awarded a place with partial Scholarship, at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music to undertake studies on the highly competitive MA in Performance (Voice) course at RAM. Jennifer will be relocating to London in September 2019 to begin her studies at RAM with critically acclaimed Italian Soprano, Nuccia Focile.
Having not taken the orthodox route to a career in singing, Jennifer gained her undergraduate degree in the Social Sciences and was awarded a BA Hons Degree in History in 2014. During her time studying History, Jennifer was also given the title of ‘Holocaust Ambassador’ after working with the Holocaust Educational Trust and Holocaust Memorial Day Trust. (2010- 2014) – Jennifer is still very passionate about working with charities/causes by offering her services in music, i.e, singing at charity events, teaching etc.
In 2013, whilst still studying for her undergraduate degree in History, Jennifer had her first singing lesson with voice teacher Colin Iveson. After training her voice for a short while, Jennifer was encouraged to take her singing further and pursue a career as a performer in the world of Classical Music/Opera. Although Jennifer had applied a strong level of commitment to her previous academic career, her real passion and commitment was strongly towards classical music and singing – which resulted in a move away from Academia into a career in Music.
